THOUGHTS AN BEST BITS
Ok this is an older film but i really enjoyed it as a kid when i got to see it at maybe 7ish years old it was so odd and dark but not scray as a kid but i guess the adults shit the bed cause this was hardly ever on tv growing up but it did get a cult classic following from people and the sort of crazy odd world its set in the lore and feel but its kinda got that Highlander (1986) feel to it they made it with no chance of more or adding to the world its a one and done story not planned out well its got this great world to explore and move around in and its just made for the time just heres the idea and film bye but now that Netflix have got the rights to it and are making a new show set as a prequel im in.

So starting with Jen a Gelfling having a bath ok bit creepy these days but ok then we follow him talking with the Mystics his father figure and then he sets of on some adventure and sure you can pick holes in the plot like how does he know where to go and shit but its a film shut up an its a kids film you cant break this down to much. Any ways Jen goes off on his adventure and meets up with a few other creatures and finds a spoilers another Gelfling and they team up to take on the evil Skeksis i love these fuckers evil fucking vulture bird things so creepy so cool they are just trying to rule some dead world and live for ever and have swore to kill and wipe out all Gelflings and these creepy birds dont do much but for me they are a huge draw and enjoyment.

Directing wise its a kids film really its made well and a family can enjoy and watch it or a giant man child like me its a little dark maybe but in a good way its maybe got to much captain explaino at the start with the entire back story having to be told this could have been done mid movie and some parts seem to fast the adventure in parts seems fast to me its broken down very well in each act but its fast i feel and i know it has around 30mins cut out.

Acting wise haha well its Jim Henson the puppet guy you no Kermit the frog and the gang so its all puppets other than a few wide angles of filming its zero humans all a creature puppet world and very cool for it and this is almost like a starter at some nice fucking meal as Netflix has a show coming in just a few weeks and i cant wait to watch it. Catch it on Netflix and then enjoy the show with or without the kids.
