THOUGHTS AN BEST BITS
Well its better than i was expecting i was thinking straight reboot and just a new take on the same old same old but this was a new sort of take and they ditched any super natural elements and kept it more low key and bit more real in some ways.
So we kick off with Lara as a delivery girl in London if i remember correct cause well i dont care but anyways shes broke ? new take kinda fun different the ass kicking she gets from some Thai fighting and i thought ok so shes baby Lara learning and picks up the skills over say a 6 movie deal lol standard these days right any ways ok so yeh shes broke spoilers bitches and then it kicks into Tomb Raider universe an we find out daddy has died.. of course does he ever live or retire lol so hes gone and shes holding off taking the trust fund and getting his cash. Cut to she finds the super cool secret hide out only she can find in the grave yard and she then goes off looking for what fucked up daddy cue the music and travel montage.
Now while this was fresh and new and i did like elements expect as much action as you get opening a new dvd. Its a super low level action movie not much here and kinda lame in ways its got very little going for it and this is one of those movies you could go yeh she does all her own stunts cause she does a little running and the odd jump or fall nout happens and by the time it does its super depressing as i think it was a fight mid way and then kinda does this big long take with a bow when she does fuck all and well using a bow ? sumin up with guns bitch fuck me a bow was cool in this world when i was 14 and playing the game this is 2018 mother fucker grab some shit. Then we got sort of this indiana style end with the entering a tomb and its kinda the the penitent man will pass and she walks through lol little gamer talk and then the ending is well its fun and a good touch il give them that but its a tragic ending and just kinda felt like im almost watching a tv movie.
As for the cast well not much to talk about other than Alicia Vikander who came on my rader with BOURNE(2016) shes fucking simply stunning and whats super excited me is she can act her ass off and what an ass it is but shes super not used well her the directing of her was well it sucks but i blame the script the action the terrible lack of good story or dialogue shes not well used and it feels such a shame but she was delicious to look shes super petite looking so i was a little like whos she gonna fight and win against i seen turds lager than this girl shes tiny but hey ok its a movie shut up. Now as for the rest well who cares they added nothing the larger percentage as asian and hidden in the background they dont use much until the end and we see some sneaky bad guy hidden characters but for the most part not a cast you will care about or spot kind of a waste.
Overall fun sure would i watch it again maybe one day but fuck this is not even close to being good enough to add to the dvd collection.
