CAST
Jamie Bell as Rusty Firmin

FACT
first movie i actually liked Jamie Bell. Oh and in 2008 an actual terrorist that took part in this hostage take over was set free ? wtf.

THOUGHTS AN BEST BITS
Well i was expecting this to be a little different in my head with a sort of modern day style and feel to this classic story. Based on actual events in 1980 some retard bad guys thought they could take hostages in the Uk and some how force them to make another country give up people what fucking twats but fine ok so then the SAS storm the building kick ass an save the day of course standard Brittish we just do it fucking better.

Now ok so this again like most movies based on but fucking why sure changes some names up of the SAS but for fuck sake is it that hard to get good details i hit up youtube one day before i watched this and got 2 different facts than whats in the movie one for example is the care taker gives them the info that the buildings windows are heavy resistance and the SAS had planned on going in through them and had to ditch this idea not in the movie yet a scene with a guy who says the builds wrong and points out some door changes ? like really couldnt add that had to fuck with that and i seen them kill all the badguys or maybe i blinked or moved to get a drink but i never spotted them grab a terrorists and arrest one i just seen them smoke them all. Any ways some points just missed out for no reason like no real effort was put into research and thought just hey we got a cool story go with it make a script up.

Now ok its not true to life but as a movie kinda fun its got a low budget indy feel not the swaps a bag of sand for old relics indy but any ways so yeh its got a fun feel its short and goes by fast i thought but i liked it for that not dragging shit out but i felt it was missing a few faces the other SAS i dont think i seen a single other face or some banter from them just all on Bell to sort of lead the movie and do all the talking for some reason and it was cut with old footage of news and tv that was fun but i dono was a little something missing touch wise but i liked it was a fun flick to catch not one id honestly ever watch again i imagine but enjoyed as my expectations were low this is not a huge Avengers type deal big budget action its very low key and realistic so enjoyed for a grounded touch.

Cast wise well ok yeh its Billie Smelliot so i never really liked him in much and thats to say kinda hated him mostly for his stupid face but just was not into him for a long time and felt he was highly overated. Now the rest of the cast well other than Mark Strong whos got that face you spot in a hundred different things the only other name in here was Abbie Cornash and when i see her name i think pastie but yeh shes a face i kinda know but dont really and well shes got fuck all to do but stand outside n look busy but shes not doing shit here really and its all on bellend to hold the movie up but hey they didnt do a bad job.

Directing wise its ok i mean the guys done nothing else really some random tv shows one offs but i cant see him take of after this it had nothing great to display or really it felt like he was maybe on a show and just shooting scenes for scenes and not adding a touch a vibe a look no Cameron down the hall way in blue lights look he just was very bland its almost hints on being a two part itv drama that would be shown over two nights in december but hey its ok and for watching it online i cant bitch i liked it better than some big box office movies i seen in the last decade and easily better than the last Star Wars bullshit so give it a watch if you catch it on tv late one night.
